「日常の出来事をすべて英語で言ってみました。」
海外赴任で成功したビジネスパースンが、こんなことを言うのを聞いたことはありませんか？
ならば、一度やってみようか？って思って作りました。
＜スクリプト：日本語＞
駅について、改札を通る。
まっすぐ進んで階段を下りる。
すべって転ばないように注意
右に曲がるとマック
朝ごはんのソーセージマフィンを単品で買って、店をでる。
駅のロータリーにはタクシーが待っている。
タクシーに乗っていく？とんでもない。お金の無駄だ。
すれ違う人に「おはようございます」と言ってみる勇気はない。
バスターミナルを通り、パチンコ屋の角を左に曲がる。
すぐにコンビニがみえる。
一番右側の道を進む。
交通量の激しい道にでる。
信号を待って、青になったら右と左を見てわたる。
ここからはまっすぐ５分歩く。
赤信号の時は、車が来ていなくても青になるのを待つ。
信号無視をする人に「だめだよ！交通ルールを守ろうよ。」なんて言えるわけない。
信号が青になったら、まっすぐ２ブロック進む。
こんなどぶ川にシロサギが飛んできていることもある。
角には緑川公園。
左に曲がります。
ガードレールの中を歩きます。
右手に高校の校庭が見えてきます。
今日も頑張ろうという気分になります。
はい、学校につきました。
素敵な一日となりますように。
＜英語編＞
I arrive at the station and go through the ticket gate.
I go straight ahead and down the stairs.
I am careful not to slip and fall down.
Turn right and enter McDonald’s.
I purchase only a sausage muffin for breakfast and leave the store.
Taxis are waiting at the station’s rotary.
Take a taxi? Absolutely not. It’s a waste of money.
I don’t have the courage to say ‘Good morning’ to passing people.
I pass through the bus terminal and turn left at the corner of the pachinko parlor.
I see a convenience store right away.”
I continue to walk along the road on the right side.
I come across a busy road.
I wait for the signal. When it turns green, I look both ways and cross the road.
From here, I walk straight for five minutes.
When the light is red, I wait for it to turn green even if no cars are coming.
I don’t have the courage to say to people who run red lights, “Let’s follow the traffic rule.”
When the light turns green, I walk straight for two blocks.
Sometimes I may see big white birds coming on such a muddy river.
Green River Park is located at the corner.
I turn left.
I walk within the guardrail.
I’ll see the high school playground on the right.
I feel determined to do my best again today.
Here I am. I’ve arrived at school.
