Day 23 What a fantastic adventure！

The sign said, ‘Boston – 160 miles.’

When we passed through the northern edge of the Appalachian Mountains, we saw typical eastern towns that have one church with a pointed tower.

When I parted ways with Carol, who lives in Massachusetts, I shouted,

” Ride again! See you next year! “

We’re heading home to Pat and Pennie in New Hampshire.

Commuters in their cars looked at us enviously.

We returned to the beautiful town of Salem, with lakes and woods.

We returned safe and sound.

We unloaded the luggage, washed the bikes, and in the afternoon, Pat and I went out on the lake in front of the house.

The sway of the boat was gentle.

The heart of Pat and Penny is kind and gentle.

What a fantastic adventure we had!

通勤に向かう人たちが、車の中からうらやましそうにこちらも見ている。

林の中に湖の点在する美しい街セイラムに無事に到着。

荷物を降ろし、バイクを洗い、午後はパットとボートで家の前の湖に出た。

ボートの揺らぎはやさしく、パットとペニーもやさしく温かかった。

なんてすばらしい冒険だったのだろう！
