While traveling across the United States on my motorcycle, I was helped by so many people. Strangers welcomed me into their homes, shared meals with me, and treated me like family. Those moments of kindness are still some of my warmest memories.
One day, I hope to take a “journey of gratitude.” Not just to say thank you with words, but to share something made by hand and from the heart. That’s why I thought of baking.
If I could bake a cake for the people who once gave me such warmth, and share a sweet moment together, that would be my way of saying, “Thank you for what you gave me back then.”
I started learning baking about 15 years ago with that idea in mind. In this category, I share sweets I’ve baked for my family’s special days and for requests that came from the heart.
If you live in the United States and feel curious about trying one of my homemade cakes, please feel free to leave a comment. It would mean a lot to me to share gratitude, memories, and a little sweetness with you.
