4歳の孫娘は”天真爛漫”。
突然、「ジジはカッコいい～♪」とミュージカル女優のように歌い出します。笑
そして、こちらを見つめて…
「ジジ 結婚する」って言ってきます。
にやけていると、妻が…
「男を知らないね」
と、下手なツッコミを入れてきて、余韻に浸らせてくれません。笑
オイルを使わないシフォンケーキを教えていただいたので作りました。
「この間、フレーズ・デ・ボアで買ったケーキより、ジジのケーキの方が美味しい」
６歳の、まだ、お世辞を言えない孫に、埼玉の名店と比べて言われたので…悪い気はしません。笑
また作ろうっと！
Grandpa’s Sweet Moments
My four-year-old granddaughter is pure sunshine — full of joy and completely innocent.
Out of the blue, she starts singing like a little musical star,
“Grandpa is soooo cool~♪”
Then she looks up at me with a grin and says,
“Hey, Grandpa… will you marry me?”
I can’t help but smile. But just as I’m basking in the sweetness of the moment,
my wife cuts in,
“She clearly doesn’t know men yet.”
Later that day, I tried making an oil-free chiffon cake — a recipe someone had kindly shared with me.
After one bite, my six-year-old granddaughter declared,
“Grandpa’s cake is better than the one we got from Fraise des Bois!”
Considering it came from one of the best patisseries in Saitama — and that she’s still too young to flatter —
I couldn’t help but feel proud.
Looks like I’ll be baking again soon!
