the first day of kindergarten

In the pouring rain, my 3-year-old granddaughter had her entrance ceremony.

With her older brother by her side, she didn’t hesitate to go to kindergarten, although it was clear that she was nervous about the new environment.

When their parents watched her older brother’s promotion ceremony, he remained calm, resting his chin on his hand, while everyone else energetically raised their hands.

Nevertheless, seeing his uniform fit perfectly made me feel his growth.

At home, kids enjoyed the chocolate cake I had made to celebrate her entrance into the kindergarten.

The next morning, the granddaughter cried for a while, not wanting to go to kindergarten. Finally, she waited for the kindergarten bus to come with her older brother in front of their house.

Just before the bus arrived, she turned to her mother and said, “I can say ‘Good morning’ to the teacher.”
