DAY 2 Cross-cultural exchange

Road trip with Americans is interesting.

To tell you the truth, I wanted to see Niagara Falls, but in vain.

They said, “It’s crowded, and only a small part of it is worth seeing.”

They were excited to see a sign board “Historic New York Utica area”, but I couldn’t become part of the group. hahaha.

Then, we crossed the Canadian border to go buy nice ice wine.

Our leader Pat paid attention to the condition of everyone’s bikes. He said,

“When riding long distances, Harley bolts can sometimes loosen. Who wants to ride the rocket made by Harley?”

He added some oil to Carol’s bike and tightened the bolts.

Before checking into a hotel, we went shopping for dinner.

We carefully checked the roads, but the sky turned gloomy.

We arrived at the hotel just as we were caught in a shower.

全訳

アメリカ人と一緒のツーリングはおもしろい。

正直、ナイアガラの滝を見に寄りたかったが、「混んでいるし、見どころはほんの一部だけ」ということで却下。

ドライブインにあった Historic New York Utica area の前で興奮して記念写真を撮ったが、自分は蚊帳の外。

そして、カナダの国境を越えて、アイスワインを買いにいく。

リーダーのパットは、みんなのバイクのコンディションを気を配り、

「長距離走るとハーレーのボルトが緩むことがあるんだ。ハーレーの作ったロケットに乗りたいってやつはいるか？」

と言って、キャロルのバイクにオイルを足して、ボルトを締めなおした。

ホテルに着く前に夕飯を買い込み、道を確認しながら進んでいると、空模様が怪しくなり、ずぶぬれになったところでホテルに到着した。
