夫婦で過ごす時間が増えました。 妻が作った弁当と、手作りパウンドケーキをおやつに持って、飛行機の見える公園に行きました。 妻はＡ３８０…世界最大の旅客機が大好きなんです。 やっていることは他愛もないことですが…こんな時間も悪くないんです。翌日の仕事のことも考えずに…夜の八時半に飛び立つA３８０を見送って…帰宅します。キスすることも、手を握ることもしませんが…付き合い始めのデートのようで…笑…でも、いつのまにか孫たちのことばかり語っている。笑
弁当とパウンドケーキを半分持たせた娘から、家族で公園で食べてる写真と「うっま！」って孫が言ったという一言が添えられていました。
何気ない時間が、今はとても心地いいのです。
We’ve been spending more time together as a couple lately.
The other day, we packed a simple lunch—my wife’s homemade bento and some pound cake I baked—and headed to a park where we can watch planes take off.
My wife absolutely loves the A380—the world’s largest passenger plane.
What we do might seem ordinary, even trivial… but I’ve come to really appreciate these quiet moments.
We don’t think about work the next day.
We just wait for the 8:30 p.m. departure and wave goodbye to the A380 before heading home.
No hand-holding, no kisses—just something that feels a little like a date from our younger days.
Well… except we end up talking mostly about our grandkids.
Our daughter’s family had packed the other half of the lunch and pound cake, and later she sent us a photo of the kids eating in a park, along with a sweet message:
“Grandpa, he said ‘Sooo yummy!’”
These simple, everyday moments…
They feel so comforting now.
And somehow, they mean everything.
