Much of the world knows that John Lennon was the guiding spirit of the Beatles, who were one of most popular influencers in the 1960s, before (   21   ) in 1970. Yoko Ono was born in 1933 in Tokyo. Her father, Eisuke. came from a long line of samurai warrior-scholars, and he was a classical pianist before becoming a banker. Her parents, (   27   ) Yoko’s musical talent, enrolled her in piano lessons from the age of 4. She also attended kabuki performances with her mother, Isoko,  (   28   )  shamisen and koto. Yoko joined her family in New York in 1952 and began to study at the prestigious Sarah Lawrence College. Ono’s parents approved of her college choice, but disapproved of her lifestyle and scolded her for making friends with people whom (   29   ) John Lennon first met Yoko Ono’s parents in 1971, a year after the Beatles split up.
